Lots of Halloween fun in Somesville village...We've been 'goin' strong' since noon time!...
Somesville Village Library afternoon events for the young goblins (Free books, games, crafts)...and sweet treats at my office ..to get them 'sugared up in good shape' before the Hay Rides in Hall Quarry this evening...Lots of photo ops...and fun and games..
I'm waiting for the next group to show up..wind blown and 'wound up'...from all the activities!...Ledgelawn Avenue in Bar Harbor is also on their 'frightful agenda' :) ...the wee ones tell me that it's 'Kinda scary' :) over there!

I just opened up an attachment from one of our 'paying house guests'....and all I could think of was 'OH...WOW!'
I love it when our Acadia Pines
guests share their Maine vacation memories and their talent! Thanks, Michael, for sending this incredible photo of Bar Harbor, taken from Bar Island.

I was walking in the village today (near Acadia National Park)...thinking 'this is 'Some Kinda Wonderful' !
So I grabbed my camera and joined the other leaf peepers. Hikin', Clickin' and Humin' the tune "Some Kind of Wonderful"...
An October afternoon in Somesville..Could it get any better than this?

Hard to believe it!....Huge snowflakes coming down this evening on our deck at Long Pond. (October 18!) Good thing the leaf peepers took lots of great photos last week!
Wonder what our paying house guests at the Acadia Pines Chalet in Somesville think of this!...Bet they are 'Wicked Excited" and never thought about bringing their skis and snow shoes along with their hikin' boots! :)
(Just kidding...it's not THAT much...but is a big surprise!)....

Thank you , Michael...for sharing your recent photo of the Somesville Bridge...
Somesville is "My Piece of Maine"...
The little bridge connects the old Selectmen's building with the village museum...across the street from our quaint library.
Tour buses are still arriving daily...with leaf peepers clicking cameras!...
